BMS 15CN860 15" Triaxial Neodymium Speaker 1000 W + 150 W + 80 W, 60°, 98 dB, 8 Ohm

Bms have taken their combined mid and high range co axial compression driver and added a specially designed 15” bass speaker.

The Compression driver is mounted into the back of the bass unit so that highs and mids can travel through the center and out through a horn at the front of speaker.

The result is speaker that has low, mid and high frequency drivers that are built in to one unit.

This offers several advantages in comparison to a conventional 3 way speaker design.

The biggest advantage is that the all 3 driver are firing the sound on 1 axis, this means that the speaker is totally coherent, that is all 3 outputs hit the ear at the same time and appear from the same source.

Another advantage is that there is no need to have a separate high frequency horn and midrange unit, this results in the opportunity to save baffle space and in turn allow the designer to keep the cabinet as small and compact as possible.
